Overview: Assignments

In Blackboard you can create submission assessments, called Assignments, and manage the grades and feedback for each student separately. You can create assignments in content areas, learning modules, and folders. You can also add SafeAssign Plagiarism Detection to assignments.

When you create an assignment, a Grade Center column is created automatically. From the Grade Center, you can see who has submitted their work and start grading.

Assignments can be individual submission assignments or Group Assignments. With group assignments, each group submits one collaborative assignment that you only have to grade once.
