Troubleshooting: Updating Kaltura Capture Account Information

If your Blackboard account changes or is updated, as sometimes happens when you change universities or if your university upgrades Blackboard, you may receive an error trying to upload videos with Kaltura Capture. If this happens, you will need to refresh your account information in the Kaltura Capture software. To do this:

 

Step 1: Open Kaltura Capture software. Launch it directly from Blackboard by going to the “My Media” module on the Blackboard homepage (the My Institution tab), then select “Add New” and then “Kaltura Capture”.

 

Step 2: Select the “Manage” link under the Kaltura Capture logo

Step 3: Select the “Info” icon

Step 4: Select “Sign Out”. Kaltura Capture should close automatically. If it does not, please close the software.

Step 5: Relaunch Kaltura Capture through Blackboard by following the same instructions in Step 1 above. This will update your account information automatically by syncing Kaltura Capture to your Blackboard account. You should now be able to use Kaltura Capture to record videos directly to Blackboard again.

You must launch Kaltura Capture through Blackboard in order to update your account information. If you launch it directly from your desktop, it will not be able to sync with your Blackboard account.
