Launching Kaltura Capture

Kaltura Capture enables you to record video presentations and screen captures for your Blackboard courses. Kaltura Capture is different from the Kaltura Express Capture feature which only records web cam video and does not require a software install.

Launching Kaltura Capture

In order to use Kaltura Capture, you must first install it on your computer. If you have not already done so, please go to Installing Kaltura Capture first to download and install the software.

Log into Blackboard via the myUSA portal.
On the My Institution tab (blackboard homepage), select the “My Media” link in the My Media module. It may take a minute to load.
Select the “Add New” button and then select “Kaltura Capture” from the dropdown.
Be sure to select “Open Kaltura Capture” or “Yes” if prompted by your browser. If you accidentally select “Cancel” or “No”, return to step 2 above and repeat the instructions.

Kaltura Capture will allow you to record multiple inputs at the same time, such an on-screen presentation and your web cam.
