Creating a Manual Grade Column

When a gradable item is created in the course (assignments, tests, discussions), a grade column is automatically created in the grade center.  Faculty can manually create additional columns for assignments and activities not completed or submitted in Blackboard.  Examples would include participation points, in class lab activities or attendance at an event.

  1. In the grade center, select the Create Column button.

     

  2. On the Create Grade Column page, fill out the column information (Column name, grade center name, primary display, optional secondary display, dates, and options. For more information about these settings, see Grade Center Column Settings.

     

  3. Select Submit.
